What do children find important for Dutch politics? Various organizations wanted to know, such as Kinderpostzegels, Jantje Beton, and the Foundation for Disabled Children. The research shows that over 90% of all children in the Netherlands believe that politicians should be obligated to listen more to children. 75% of children are concerned about what is happening in the Netherlands. Moreover, 90% believe that politicians should ensure that no child is excluded or discriminated against. We were able to organize a special day for Ukrainian children who have fled to the Netherlands. The children shared their stories, asked questions, and, most importantly, had fun. It’s wonderful to see once again how crucial it is for children that adults truly listen to them. ‘The war causes many broken souls.’ The self-confidence of these children has certainly received a tremendous boost.
